I have been taking pictures of my growing Escher project and noticed that the fish and ducks had rather sunken eyes. It looked gruesome.
Beim Fotografieren von meinem Escher-Projekt ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Fische und Enten merkwürdig eingesunkene Augen haben. Gesund sieht das nicht aus.
But then I thought of turning the picture upside down and it did the trick. The animals look healthy again!

Aber dann habe ich das Bild um 180 Grad gedreht und sie waren geheilt. Hurrah!

...And is it ok for me to say, that I think it is just so very neat how the eyes of the fish and ducks form circles? Escher was a genius.
...Ein Höhepunkt dieses Designs, auch wenn es nur ein Detail ist, sind für mich die Augen der Enten und Fische. Sie verbinden sich exakt zu einem Kreis. Escher war ein Genie, man kann es nicht anders sagen.

Ich bin fleissig am Stricken und kann es kaum erwarten, dass die Decke endlich fertig wird.
Mensch Jana, das ist Escher pur! Und ich hab keinen 3-D-Monitor *g*, es sieht trotzdem beinah so aus.
ReplyDeleteIch glaub,hab irgendwo noch so ein Bastelbuch aus den 1980er Jahren, da konnte man so Echer Würfel etc. basteln... ich such das mal und dann bekommst Du das und darfst das alles in feinen Strick umsetzen *g*.

Danke, ich kann Inspirationen immer gebrauchen! :o) Ob ich allerdings jemals Würfel stricke, weiss ich noch nicht. Für den Moment bin ich schon von zwei Dimensionen fast überfordert. :P

You are really blowing me away with these projects. I am so thankful I stumbled upon you and therefore escher!! I canno't believe I never learned about him in art class. The originals are amazing but your adaptation to knitting them is incredible too! LOVE this!
